Forme cutting
Forme-cutting uses shaped metal blades embedded in a block of wood which creates your forme, hence the name
This is loaded into a press which then processes a single sheet at a time. The main benefit of using a forme is that multiple tasks can be performed at the same time. These can be any combination of cutting, scoring, perforating, and even punching holes.
Some of the most popular items made by forme cutting are presentation folders, which must be cut to a complex shape and have a number of scores done at the same time to ensure they fold to size properly.

Sometimes it’s as simple as cutting a corner off your business card in a unique way that makes it memorable to anyone you give it to.
