Which brochure style suits you and your business best?

When you think of a brochure, what first pops into your mind?

A flat piece of paper? Maybe double sided? DL? A5? A4? Thin paper? Thick card? Folded?

There are more choices than you think when deciding on how best portray your business.

Luckily, here at Agility Print, we are able to make life easier by guiding you through these decisions. Following are 4 popular styles that can work for most businesses.

Define a goal

The Flat Brochure

DL, A5 and A4 are the more commonly used sizes as they are a standard size which are popular for mailing, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you can choose any shape or size you like.

The Bi-Fold Brochure

The Bi-Fold Brochure is handy if you have a bit more information you need to put into your communication. It’s also a good way to divide the information into separate sections using the fold.

The Tri-Fold Brochure

The Tri-Fold can be folded in two different ways. Z fold (above left) and Roll fold
(above right).

A roll fold works best if your brochure is designed as a full spread when open and the Z fold is great for content that is best suited to a column layout.

The Booklet

A booklet can be a few folded pages stapled together along the fold (saddle stitched) or, if it is thick enough, can be perfectly bound just like a book you buy at the shop.

The booklet is mainly used for reports, catalogues or anything that won’t fit on
6 pages.
